Call Me Bae is gearing up to stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 6, 2024The series follows Ananya Panday as she steps into the shoes of a South Delhi heiress who faces a dramatic life change after losing her fortune.
The trailer reveals Panday's character, a privileged young woman from South Delhi who is suddenly stripped of her wealth and status. With her back against the wall, she moves to Mumbai, where she must find a new way of life – from finding work as a social media journalist to cleaning her own apartment.
Call Me Bae takes a familiar premise – a rags-to-riches story – and turns it on its head. Creator Ishita Moitra brings a light-hearted, comedic approach to the character of Panday, whose struggles are portrayed with a hint of humour rather than serious drama. As the trailer unfolds, viewers see Panday’s character face one challenge after another, from the hardships of city life to the dose of reality she gets from those around her.
