US stocks were trading higher in mid-session, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 200 points on Thursday.
The Dow Jones rose 0.47% to 42,110.56 points, while the Nasdaq rose 0.19% to 18,117.40 points. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining 0.21% to 5,734.09 points.

Bank lending to eurozone households rose 0.6% year-on-year to €6.891 trillion in August, compared with a 0.5% increase in the previous month. GfK's consumer climate indicator for Germany rose to a reading of -21.2 for October, compared with a revised reading of -21.9 in the previous period.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed mostly higher on Thursday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 2.79%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rising 4.16%, China's Shanghai Composite Index gaining 3.61% and India's BSE Sensex gaining 0.78%.
Hong Kong's trade deficit widened to $33.1 billion in August from $25.6 billion in the same month a year earlier.
Economic sciences
- U.S. core PCE prices rose 2.8% from the previous quarter during the second quarter, compared with a 3.7% increase in the prior period.
- U.S. durable goods orders were virtually unchanged from the previous month in August, compared with a revised 9.8% increase in the prior period.
