Discord wants to share your recent playtime with your friends.
Discord's activity tracker now shows not only which games you've been playing over the past 30 days, but also how long you've been playing them.
Similarly, if you've returned to a game after a break, your tracker will let your friends know that you're back.
Simply click on your friend's profile in your Friends List, and the pop-up will reveal how long they've been playing (or possibly inactive, following the example of my own list below) the last game they opened.
For those less interested in sharing, or perhaps having their boss on their Discord friends list, you can disable activity logging by going to Activity Settings > Activity Privacy > Activity Status and turning off “share your detected activities with others” and “share your activity status by default when joining large servers.”
Discord has also partnered with Amazon Music Unlimited to launch a new activity called Amazon Music Listening Party, with a free three-month trial (availability will vary, I’m afraid). You can also proudly link your Roll20 RPG accounts.
Late last month, Microsoft confirmed that it was expanding Discord support on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One with a number of new features, including a consolidated Xbox and Discord friends list.
Additionally, once the update is available, it will be possible to start a Discord call, jump directly into a voice channel, or watch a friend broadcast directly from your Xbox friends list.
