Frankie Valli has responded to fans' concerns about the 90-year-old singer's recent Frankie Valli and Four Seasons performances.
“I know there's been a lot of stuff on the internet about me lately, so I wanted to set the record straight,” Valli shared in a statement given to Us weekly on Monday, September 30. “I am lucky to be 90 years old and still doing what I love to do and, as long as I can and the public wants to come see me, I will be performing the way I do. I always do it. I love what I do. And I know we put on a great show because our fans are still coming out strong and the show is still great.”
Concerns about Valli's health arose after videos of recent shows began circulating on social media, including a video in which the singer appeared unable to keep up with his choreography “December 1963 (Oh What a Night)”.
Another clip showed Valli apparently missing some lyrics from “Bye, Bye, Baby (Baby, Goodbye),” which some fans thought was lip-syncing. One commenter on the videos claimed that Valli seemed “exhausted,” while another called the situation “very sad.”
