“I speak from my own experience,” said the interpreter, who shares a daughter Daisy with Orlando BloomShe explained. “When I talk about ‘Woman’s World,’ I talk about feeling so empowered now as a mother, as a woman, giving birth, creating life, creating another set of organs, a brain, a heart. I created a whole heart and I did that. I’m still doing that. And I’m still a matriarch. And I feel really grounded in that, and that’s where I speak from.”
Regarding her decision to release new music, the former American Idol The judge noted that it was a purely artistic decision on his part.
“I don’t feel like I have to make music,” she said. “I don’t feel like I have to prove anything. I do it now from a place of celebration and love.”
