Clay Gravesande and AD Smith: They are not together
While Clay expressed his doubts about getting married due to his own views of his father's infidelity, AD assured him that they would prevail as a couple and that everything seemed to be fine between the two.
But once faced with the task of saying “I do” for good at the altar, Clay said… No Instead, he told AD that it would not be “responsible” for him to get married knowing he wasn’t ready.
Cue for surprise.
“I’m going to work hard for you,” he told AD, “and we’re going to get through this together. I don’t care what anyone says; I know full well that I’m not ready for marriage and that you deserve the best. And if I’m not ready to give you 100 percent, I’m not going to go with you when I’m not ready… I can’t say yes right now.”
It was a revelation that caused AD to tearfully declare the relationship a waste of his “fucking time.”
As for Clay, he also revealed that financial and emotional ties played a big role in his decision to walk away. “I looked in the mirror and asked myself, ‘Am I a husband?’” he admitted, “and the answer was no. Am I deeply in love? The answer was no.”
During the reunion, Clay expressed that he made a mistake and wanted to date AD, but she was coy about whether she would ever consider getting back together with him.
AD confessed that he had a couple of dates with his co-star. Matthew Duliba after finishing filming, but they are no longer together.
