The Real Housewives of New York City is back and there is already a lot of drama in the Big Apple.
“We obviously have some expectations,” cast member. Jessel Taank shared exclusively with Us weekly ahead of RHONY premiere of season 15. “With one season under your belt, you understand what this world is about. Ultimately, for us, we really wanted to continue to be fun and entertaining. “I think that's what it should be and it should be joyful, and I hope that comes through in this new season.”
It wasn't all fun and games during the Bravo premiere on Tuesday, October 1. In the first minutes, viewers felt the tension that was brewing between Brynn Whitfield and Change Hassan during a cast photo shoot.
According to Jessel, 44, the two “strong personalities” will not see eye to eye this season.
“When they're good, they're great,” he said. “When they are not, they are not. You guys will see how it develops as the season progresses. I think what happened in the finale of last season, where Brynn somehow gets over Ubah's love interest, I think really raised a lot of doubt and I think it created a lot of tension in their friendship from that point on.
One friendship that seems to be in a better place is Jessel's bond with Sai De Silva. While the duo spent much of season 14 clashing, Tuesday's episode showed the couple in a good place.
“I feel like I got closer to Sai,” Jessel joked. “Obviously, it was shocking because of how we left things last season, but we definitely see our relationship blossoming and it's definitely in a better place.”
A story that Jessel wants to end forever is if Erin Lichy called Jenna Lyons “poor” behind his back.
After Erin, 37, denied the allegations in the RHONY In the season premiere, Jessel hopes the entire cast can focus more on moving forward and less on the past.
“It's literally the bane of my existence,” he joked. Us. “I think we squashed it pretty quickly, but it's really funny because to imply that Jenna Lyons doesn't have money or is having problems, it's really ironic to me.”
Season 15 will also introduce the art curator. Raquel Chevremont and designer Rebecca Minkoff to the cast. While the ladies stayed out of the fights at the premiere during Brynn's cast event, the trailer shows that even newbies can't avoid the drama.
“[Racquel] It is essentially New York. She is very tough and adds a very interesting dynamic to the group,” Jessel joked. “I had never met Rebecca before. “We're obviously mixed in the same circles, but it's been a pleasure getting to know her.”
