Scott Weintrob Talks Directing Harvey Keitel in Paradox Effect

Director Scott Weintraub is making his big-screen directorial debut with the Apple TV+ action thriller. Paradox effect — and even Weintrob was surprised that the legendary actor Harvey Keitel He agreed to come on board.

“The thing about Harvey is that a lot of actors don’t want to work with a first-time filmmaker,” Weintrob said. According to Weintrob, Keitel is traditional in his approach to acting, sharing that he is not interested in “social media” or anything other than “Who is my character? How did I get here? What are we doing here? Why am I saying these lines? Who am I talking to?” he said. “He wants to know everything and they really build the character together.”
