Simone Biles She has one thing to say to everyone who asks her if she will compete in the 2028 Olympics: “I can't live?”
“Everyone wants to know this question,” the 11-time Olympic medalist said as she stood on the tightrope once again on the Wednesday, Sept. 4, episode of Tonight's show starring Jimmy Fallon.
Biles, 27, then told the host Jimmy Fallon:“I think: 'Can't I live?'”
The gymnast went on to joke that she might be too old to compete in the upcoming Summer Olympics, which will take place in Los Angeles.
“First of all, I’m getting older… 27 is a little bit old for a gymnast,” Biles told a shocked Fallon, who responded that she’s a “baby.”
“In real life, I age like fine wine,” Biles explained. “But for a gymnast, I’m old. Outside the gym, oh yeah, I’m young! Tequila. I don’t have a hangover. But in the gym, I’m old.”
“Maybe if we do something like, tag?” Biles joked. “If we could do tags on beam, vault, floor, bars… Tag somebody else?”
Biles became the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history during the 2024 Paris Olympics, taking home three golds and one silver, bringing her total medal count to 11. She came into the Olympics with seven medals, tying Shannon Millerwho competed in the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games.
After winning gold in the women's vault event in August, Biles has not ruled out potentially competing again in Los Angeles.
“Will this be my last time? Definitely [my final] “Yurchenko, double pike,” Biles joked during a news conference on Aug. 3. “I mean, I did it. … The next Olympics are on home soil.” [in Los Angeles]. So you never know. But I'm getting very old.”

“I always trip, I fall down the stairs,” she said. “That was the most nervous I’ve ever been in the entire Olympics. I was like, ‘Well, I have to hand over the flag. Don’t screw it up. Don’t screw it up. ’ I was terrified.”
Regarding the meeting with the Mission: Impossible All-around star Biles couldn't have been more impressed.
“He was so sweet, so nice, so down-to-earth,” she said of Cruise. “He brought flowers. He met my mom.”
