Sister Wives' Janelle Brown shares 'bittersweet' memories of her late son

“Sometimes it feels like you’re never gone,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Sept. 5. “And then I remember I won’t get a call or a text from you and it all comes back to me all at once. I know you fought so hard but in the end you couldn’t stay. I love you so much and I’ll see you again when my journey is over.”

Garrison's older sister, Madison, also paid tribute on the anniversary and shared more insight into the Brown family's grief.

“My brother, Garrison, had his issues, but none of us saw any signs of it,” she wrote. “It came as a real shock to us. We spoke regularly, and my mother’s children have always been very close, even when life changed around us. Garrison was sarcastic and witty, and in serious moments, he seemed almost uncomfortable with it, like he found it difficult to be vulnerable. I miss him very much.”
