The Sims 4 is traveling “through life and beyond” in its latest expansion this Halloween

Earlier this week, The Sims 4 officially, and somewhat alarmingly, turned ten years old. And to coincide with that impressive milestone, EA has revealed the life sim’s latest seasonal roadmap, which includes a new life-and-death-themed expansion coming this Halloween.

It's true that EA's roadmap is fairly light on details for now, and there'll be more to share as each release approaches, but we do know that The Sims 4's latest season of content (collectively billed as To Be Continued) kicks off on September 19 with two new Kit Packs.

“Give your little newbie a sophisticated start with the Storybook Nursery Kit,” she teases. EA Blog Entry“or build an inspiring retreat to help your Sim's creativity flow with the Artist Studio Kit.”

This will be followed by the Reaper's Rewards event, coming to The Sims 4 base game on September 24, where players will have to help out Grim Reaper to earn rewards.

And the Grim Reaper will have more work to do when The Sims 4's Life & Death expansion pack arrives on October 31. The pack will allow players to embark on an “endless journey through life and beyond,” which could include everything from the introduction of funerals to a new afterlife realm. More details will be revealed on October 31.

This all follows a pretty hot summer for The Sims 4, which introduced new goodies like sexy new swimsuits, new love retreats, and features like Romantic Boundaries and new romantic interactions in a variety of free and paid updates.
